Remember when you had to fake-laugh at your friend's story about that twist in last night's episode because you were only on episode 3? I once had to keep interrupting a friend with increasingly wild theories just to stop them from spoiling the last season of From. "Wait, is the tree actually alien?" "What if the boy is a ghost?" "OH MY GOD IS EVERYONE DEAD?" (Anything to keep them from finishing that sentence that started with "You'll never believe who...")
We built Fablecast because stories shouldn't be a race. They should be journeys—your journeys. Today, we're opening the doors to Explorer Mode, where classic worlds become your personal playground. No spoilers. No FOMO. No "you had to be there" moments. Because with Fablecast, you're always there—just on your own unique path.
Your Childhood Favourites Just Became Your New Obsession

Explorer Mode is a new way of using Fablecast that gives you a portal into your worlds without the story unfolding around you. Perfect if you're after a relaxing immersive experience that's all yours.
Starting today, Explorer Mode lets you step into worlds based on classic works of fiction:
- Castle Dracula - Will you investigate the basement or the tower first?
- 221B Baker Street - Solve cases with Holmes, but your deductions might crack the case from an entirely different angle
- Wonderland - Where YOUR conversation with the Cheshire Cat might lead somewhere even Alice never went
- Homer's Odyssey - Travel back to ancient Greece and explore a world full of mythological monsters and powerful gods
Plus Frankenstein's Laboratory, Sleepy Hollow, Thornfield Hall from Jane Eyre, Treasure Island, and Neverland.
Explorer Mode is a cut down experience different to the storytelling mode. There's no time pressure to get to the Mad Hatter's tea party, no real danger to poking around in Dracula's castle, and Holmes will still catch up to the criminals - after this cup of tea. Chatting with people in the world and interacting with your surroundings is coming in a future update. Just because the story is on hold shouldn't mean you can't do things and be part of that world. We want you to make your own stories too.
Share the Chaos, Keep the Mystery
We're also launching two new stories in these worlds, adapted from their originals. Solve the case of the Hound of the Baskervilles alongside Sherlock Holmes. Go toe to toe with Dracula and see who survives - perfect for a Halloween night in. Or try our original work Bricks, Bribes and Battlecries where a fantastical world awaits in which you protect your town from invading goblins.
"Wait, your Watson actually arrested Holmes?!"
"Hold up, you convinced Dracula to become VEGETARIAN?"
"The goblins just let you in the front door??"
This is what #Fablecaster conversations sound like. Instead of avoiding your group chat until you've binged all eight episodes, you're dropping YOUR wild story moments while your friends share theirs. Everyone experienced the story, but everyone has something unique to share. No more "Don't tell me what happens!" Just "Tell me what happened TO YOU!"
Think of it like everyone reading the same book but each person getting their own deleted scenes and alternate endings. The plot points align—you can totally discuss whether Moriarty is the real villain—but HOW you discovered his plan? That's your exclusive footage.
The #Fablecaster community is already comparing notes: whose Frankenstein's monster learned to play piano, whose Captain Hook formed an alliance with the Lost Boys, whose journey through the Odyssey took a detour through a completely different island. Same stories. Wildly different adventures.
Your Story Starts Now (Beta Access Inside)

We're opening Fablecast Explorer Mode to a select group of storytellers (that's you) who are tired of racing through content just to stay relevant. Who want to savour story worlds at breakfast, in their lunch break, or that lazy Sunday afternoon—without missing the Monday morning discussion.
Join the Explorer Mode Beta and get:
- An exclusive #Fablecaster badge (forever marking you as an original explorer)
- Discord flair that shows you were here from the beginning
- Early access to new worlds before public release
- First look at upcoming features (including something we're calling "Author Mode" 👀)
- The ability to say "I was exploring Wonderland before it was cool"
Start your journey:
- Pick your first world (we recommend Wonderland for maximum chaos)
- Spend 15-90 minutes whenever YOU want
- Share your wildest moments with #Fablecaster
- Help us shape what comes next
Your friends will ask how your Sherlock solved the case with a violin instead of a magnifying glass. Your book club will demand to know how you got the Mad Hatter to make sense. Your family will wonder why your version of Dracula involves a vegetarian vampire support group.
And you'll just smile and say: "Want to see for yourself?"

P.S. - That friend who almost spoiled From for me? They're beta testing too. Their version of Castle Dracula has apparently turned into a gothic cooking show. We're not sure what happened there, but #Fablecaster stories can be wild like that.
